Community Involvement
Cornerstone Financial Group's Light the Night team raised over $4,000 for Leukemia Lymphoma Society for this year's Light the Night walk in Forest Park. As a sea of red, white and gold balloons lit up the sky, the crowd remembered the loved ones that had lost their lives to cancer and united in celebrating survival and the financial support of many throughout the community.
In 2008 Cornerstone Financial Group was honored with the Good Business Practice Community award. CFG was the only New England Financial firm throughout the country to earn this prestigious award. This award was presented to our firm based on our ethics, compliance and the way we conduct business. Accompanying this award was a check for $15,000 which CFG donated to three different charities.
CFG presented a check for $5,000 to Habitat for Humanity. Habitat for Humanity is an organization that seeks to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness through strengthening the community and building partnerships. Many of CFG’s associates personally joined forces to build a home for a very special family.
Friends of Kids with Cancer was another recipient of CFG’s $5,000. Friends of Kids with Cancer is devoted to enriching the lives of children undergoing treatment for cancer and other blood related diseases. CFG sponsored their annual Friends of Kids with Cancer fashion show. The charity is one that touches the hearts of many individuals within the firm as our lives have been affected by this disease. Being involved in such a magical night solidified CFG’s mission and made the evening that much more meaningful.
CFG was fortunate to not only donate the remaining $5,000 to the Solace House in Kansas City but raise an additional $7,000 to support this wonderful organization. Solace House provides a safe environment where children who are grieving the loss of a parent can gain the support and guidance they need.
CFG strives to meet the needs and goals of their customers and continues to reach out to the community in hopes of making a difference.
